While Chicago is experiencing a massive heat wave, cool down at Wheat’s End Cafe with our new summer menu! While friends are grilling outside, here a Wheat’s End, we’re celebrating summer by introducing the Beyond Burger to our menu. A vegan, plant-based burger with the protein kick of meat, without GMOs, soy, and of course, no gluten. It’s super satisfying served on our gluten-free, vegan bun with some shredded vegan mozzarella.


To our weekday menu, we added some new favorites! Start with our Salmon Tartare, served with our house made pita. The chilled, perfectly balanced dish is made with salmon, avocado, dill, capers, shallots, tossed in our house apple cider vinaigrette.


Looking for a more hearty sharable starter? Try our Mediterranean Meatballs, made with lamb, beef, and goat cheese, simmered in Lina’s tomato sauce. You’ll most definitely want to add pita, to dip it in that flavorful sauce.


Another fun play on flavors is our Savory Flatbread Pizza. Our house pita flatbread is topped with goat cheese, honey, candied walnuts, and an onion soubise. It’s sweet and savory and everything you didn’t quite know you were craving.


We kept our all-time brunch favorites. But come in to try some of our new summertime favorites as well!
